Jeremy Behrens, 36, of Olivia, died Friday, March 17, 2006. He was born Aug. 20, 1969, in Port Lavaca, to Will and Diana McCune Behrens. Jeremy was a member of Point Comfort United Methodist Church
OH MY GOSH I just found out about Jeremy the sweetest guy you would ever meet. I started school with him from kindergarten to our senior year. He had to wear that brace on his back and it stopped him from doing absoulutely nothing. If only he could have broken free of that, it did not seem to get him down or keep him down. He played and ran just as hard as any of the rest of us and would laugh and giggle right along. Through the years of school as it passed along I didn't see Jeremy very often but when I did he lit up like the Christmas tree in Rockefellar Center. He would say HI! Wendy how are you and we would talk for a few seconds or minutes depending on how much time we had and it honestley always lifted me up. High School had its way of getting to everybody every now and then and Jeremy was my friend - AND I MEAN a true friend who was always grounded never ever ignored me and always seemed eager to say hello and see how things were going in my world. - I think of Jeremy often and I am so sorry to hear of his passing but I truly believe he is in wonderful place with no brace on his back and running and laughing and watching over all of us that took time to say hello to that gentle, amazing, wonderful, person. Where ever you are Jeremy, I miss that smile and that hug and sincerity that you had. I am blessed and honored to say that I knew Jeremy and that he was my friend. I love you Jeremy and God Bless!!!
