Left Port Lavaca in 1989 and went to Texas A&M in Galveston. Received my degree in marine biology in 1994 then went to Alaska (Dutch Harbor) and was employed as a fisheries biologist for NOAA aboard American fishing vessels in the Bering Sea. Have you seen the Discovery channels "Deadliest catch". Well, I worked on a few of those small boats as a biologist in Alaska, not as the crew but usually as the only biologist on board. Then I also went on to work on the bigger ships/factory ships after that as a biologist. Did this for about 2 years while living in Seattle between 1995-1998. After working in Alaska I worked with Univerisity of Washington's Cooperative Fish and Wildlife as a biologist studying plants in freshwater lakes across Washington state. Moved back to Texas in late 1998(back to Galveston for a few months). Then went to San Antonio to be closer to my family and met my husband there. I started working as a Quality Assurance Scientist at DPT Laboratories, a pharmaceutical manufacturer and that is where I met Randy. We both were in the chemistry lab working together up until I moved to Quality Assurance department. We married in San Antonio in June of 2001. Last year the greatest part of the last 20 years since I left high school happend to me when my son Tyler Logan was born on Feb. 1st, 2007. We are having the best time of our lives. My husband and I love to travel and plan to take our son to some of the place we have enjoyed, including the southwest U.S. and desert, state parks, and Vegas (when he is older).
